  1. 2 tablespoons 30ml Salad oil

  2. 1 tablespoon 15ml Flour

  3. 1 tablespoon 15ml Sugar

  4. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Prepared mustard

  5. 1/4 cup 59ml Water

  6. 1/4 cup 59ml Vinegar

  7. 1 1/2 cups 355ml Cooked ham - in thin strips

  8. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz Onion rings

  9. 1/2 cup 118ml Green pepper - in thin strips

  10. 1 cup 237ml Thin unpared cucumber slices

  11. 1/2 cup 55g / 1.9oz Celery - sliced

  12. 2 cups 125g / 4.4oz Tomatoes - in thin wedges

  13. 4 cups 948ml Lettuce - in bite-size pieces

  14. 3 American cheese - cut in thin strips

  15. 2 Hard cooked eggs - sliced

  1. For dressing, mix oil, flour, sugar, mustard, water, and vinegar in a large frying pan.

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Mix ham, onion, green pepper, cucumber, and celery with dressing.

  3. Cook covered over medium heat until heated through, about 4 to 5 minutes. Stir several times during cooking.

  4. Remove from heat.

  5. Toss gently with tomatoes and lettuce.

  6. Garnish with cheese strips and egg slices.
