  1. 12 lbs 5448g / 192oz Turkey

  2. 1 tablespoon 15ml Salt

  3. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Pepper

  4. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Unswetened pitted prunes

  5. 1 cup 237ml Water

  6. 4 cups 948ml Sliced apples

  7. 1 cup 146g / 5.1oz Dry bread crumbs

  8. 2 teaspoons 10ml Lemon juice

  9. 1 tablespoon 15ml Sugar

  10. 1 teaspoon 5ml Cinnamon

  1. Recipe Instructions Season the turkey with salt and pepper. Cook the prunes in the water for 10 minutes. Drain. Add the apples, bread crumbs, lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon. Mix lightly and stuff the turkey. Sew the opening or fasten with skewers. Place in a rosting pan. Roast in a 350 degree oven 3 to 4 hours or until the turkey is tender. Turn turkey to brown on all sides. Serves 10 to 12.
