  1. 2 tablespoons chili paste

  2. 1 inch ginger , chopped finely

  3. 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  4. 2 tablespoons sesame oil

  5. 1 tablespoon fish sauce

  6. 1 garlic clove , finely chopped

  7. 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

  8. 1 teaspoon soy sauce

  9. 15 ounces beef broth

  10. salt and pepper

  11. 2 -3 lbs beef short ribs, flanken cut

  1. Soak Unglazed Clay Pot ( top and bottom. in water for 20 minutes - use a medium size one.

  2. Combine 1st 8 ingredients into a paste.

  3. Rub paste all over and on all sides of short ribs.

  4. Put into soaked pot and pour broth over.

  5. Put cover over and place into a cold oven.

  6. Turn up to 400°F Cook for 3 hours.
