  7. 3 cups flour

  8. 3 tablespoons poppy seeds

  9. 1 tablespoon baking powder

  10. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  11. 1/2 cup butter or margarine

  12. 1 1/4 cups sugar

  13. 1 1/4 cups milk

  14. 1/3 cup lemon juice

  15. 2 eggs

  16. 2 tablespoons lemon zest

  17. GLAZE

  18. 3/4 cup powdered sugar

  19. 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  20. 1 teaspoon lemon zest

  21. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl combine flour, poppy seeds,

  22. baking powder and salt. Set aside. Cream together butter and sugar. Add milk, lemon juice, eggs and lemon zest. Mix until combined. Add

  23. flour mixture and stir just until moistened. Do not overmix. Pour into 1 hour

  24. 15 minutes or until cake

  25. tester inserted in center comes out clean. Allow to cool 10 minutes in

  26. stoneware loaf pan. Remove bread and pour glaze over top of bread,

  27. allowing glaze to run down sides. Cool completely on cooling rack before
