  8. 1 c Margarine/butter, softened

  9. 1 c Firmly packed brown sugar

  10. 1/2 c Granulated sugar

  11. 2 Eggs

  12. 1 ts vanilla

  13. 1 1/2 c all-purpose flour

  14. 1 ts baking soda

  15. 1 ts ground cinnamon

  16. 1/2 ts malt

  17. 3 c QUAKER Oats uncooked

  18. 1 c raisins

  19. Heat oven to 350 F. Beat margarine and sugars until

  20. creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add

  21. combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; mix

  22. well. Stir in oats and raisins; mix well. Drop by

  23. rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

  26. Cool l minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.

  27. Cool completely.

  28. Easy Bar Cookies: Press dough onto bottom of

  29. 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake

  31. or until light golden brown. Cool completely; cut into bars. Store tightly covered. 32 BARS

  32. High Altitude Adjustment: Increase flour to 2 cups

  33. and bake as directed.

  34. Ice Cream Sandwich Cookies: Spread softened ice cream

  35. on bottom side of one cookie; top with second cookie.

  36. Wrap in plastic wrap or aluminum foil; freeze.

  37. Remove from freezer a few minutes before serving.

  48. until set. If chocolate thickens, microwave at 30

  49. second intervals or set over hot water again until
