  1. 1 tb Dry yeast

  2. 1 c Warm water

  3. 1 ts Salt

  4. 2 tb Vegetable oil

  5. 6 ea Crushed garlic cloves

  6. 4 c Unbleached white flour

  7. 3 tb Wheatgerm

  1. Dissolve the yeast in the water in a bowl.

  2. Add salt, oil & garlic.

  3. Stir in 3 c flour & wheatgerm.

  4. Mix with a fork.

  5. Sprinkle 1/4 c flour on a board & turn out the dough, coating it with the flour.

  6. Then knead, adding another 1/4 c flour gradually.

  7. Knead for a couple of minutes.

  8. Let rise till it has doubled in size.

  9. Punch down & let it rest for a while.

  10. Roll the dough into a 13 inch length.

  11. Set the bread on an oiled sheet.

  12. Let proof for 20 minutes.

  13. Preheat oven to 375F & bake for 45 to 55 minutes.
