  1. 1 egg or 1/4 cup egg substitute

  2. 1 cup Unsweetened applesauce

  3. 1/2 cup canola oil

  4. 1/2 cup sugar

  5. 1/2 cup raisins

  6. 1/2 cup chopped pecans

  7. 1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour

  8. 2 teaspoons baking powder

  9. 1/2 teaspoons salt

  10. 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  11. 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  12. 1/3 teaspoon ground

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a 9 X 5 loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. In a larg bowl, combine the egg, applesauce, oil, sugar, raisins, and chopped pecans; mix well.

  3. Mix whole wheat flour with baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves in a medium bowl and add the applesauce mixture; mix well.

  4. pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool 10 minutes on a wire rack before removing from the pan. When cool, cut into 18 slices.
