  1. 1 1/2 c Fresh strawberries or raspberries

  2. 1/3 c Powdered sugar

  3. 3/4 c Eagle Brand Sweetened

  4. Condensed Milk

  5. 2 tb Lemon juice

  6. 2 Egg whites

  1. Set refrigerator control at coldest point.

  2. Crush berries and add sugar.

  3. Let stand until sugar is dissolved.

  4. Force through a sieve.

  5. Mix sweetened condensed milk , lemon juice and berries.

  6. Chill.

  7. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.

  8. Fold into chilled mixture.

  9. Pour into freezing tray.

  10. Cover with waxed paper.

  11. Freeze to a firm mush, about 1 hour.

  12. Turn into a chilled bowl.

  13. Break up with fork, then beat with rotary beater until fluffy but not melted.

  14. Quickly return to tray, cover with waxed paper.

  15. Return to freezer.

  16. Freeze until firm.

  17. Makes 1 1/2 pints
