  1. These simply prepared hens are paired with an absolutely delectable sauce studded with cranberries and figs. The recipe makes a generous amount of sauce; serve leftovers with pork or duck, or use it as a topping for crackers spread with Brie cheese.

  2. (1 1/2-lb.) Cornish game hens 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 tablespoon minced fresh rosemary 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper Cranberry-Fig Sauce Heat oven to 400°F. Place hens, breast-side up, in shallow roasting pan, leaving plenty of space between birds. Rub with oil; sprinkle with rosemary, salt and pepper. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 170°F. Let stand 5 minutes. Serve with Cranberry-Fig Sauce .
