  1. 1/4 lb 113g / 4oz Sweet butter

  2. 3 Eggs (large)

  3. 1/2 cup 99g / 3 1/2oz Sugar

  4. 3/4 cup 69g / 2.4oz Ground blanched almonds

  5. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Baking powder

  6. 3/4 teaspoon 3.8ml Vanilla extract

  7. 1 1/2 teaspoons 7 1/2ml Almond extract

  8. Confectioners sugar

  1. Melt butter in microwave, let cool. Combine eggs and sugar in mixing bowl; beat for 5 minutes. Add flour, almonds, baking powder; beat 3 to 5 minutes. Add vanilla and almond extract; beat 1 minute.

  2. Pour in cooled butter; stir thoroughly with mixing spoon. Allow to stand for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 325F. Butter madeleine pans. Fill mixture 2/3 full.

  3. Bake 20 to 25 minutes, until slightly brown on edges. Turn out on rack to cool, ribbed side up.

  4. Sift confectioners sugar on top.
