  2. History: Fresh Kidney Beans are one of the most favorite dishes in the Turkish Cuisine which inherited from the Ottoman cuisine. Starters and side dishes which are called "meze", make up important part of the Turkish Cuisine. Turkish olive oil is one of the best in the world. Turks use widely olive oil for their dishes which is very healthy and tasteful.

  4. Preparation Time: about 2 hours using dried beans

  5. Amount/Measure/Ingredient

  6. 1 kg. Fresh or dried kidney beans

  7. 1/3 cup olive oil

  8. Â 1/2 cup olive oil

  9. 1 carrot

  10. 1 potatoes

  11. 1 medium size white onion

  12. 2 big round tomatoes

  13. 2 cups of water

  14. 3 cups of hot water

  15. 3 Celery leaves or 1 teaspoon celery powder

  16. 2 gloves garlic

  17. Â 1/2 bunch parsley

  18. salt to taste

  19. 1 cube of white sugar

  20. If you are going to cook dried kidney beans, soak kidney beans in hot water overnight and next wash, drain and cook until beans are soft

  21. 2 cups of water,

  22. 1 teaspoon salt and 1/3 cup olive oil and boil for 5 minutes or until soft

  23. b) Pour the water and wash the beans, drain and set aside

  24. 1/2 cup olive oil until brown add the cubed tomatoes and garlic cook for 5 minutes or until tomatoes are half cooked

  25. 5 minutes

  26. 3 cups of hot water and cook until beans are tender

  27. f) Serve cold, garnished with chopped parsley

  28. P.S. You can change the amount of olive oil, salt or tomatoes according to your taste
