  1. 2 (3-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

  2. 2 cups miniature marshmallows

  3. 1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple, drain & reserve juice

  4. 2 cups cooked mashed sweet potatoes

  5. 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts Topping:

  6. 2 tablespoons butter

  7. 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour The reserved juice

  8. 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  9. 2 cups whipped topping

  1. For Salad: Mix all ingredients, except topping, and spread into a greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch serving dish. For Topping: In a small saucepan melt butter, stir in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add reserved juice and sugar. Cook until thickened. Cool and fold in the whipped topping. Spread over potato mixture. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
