  9. 1 medium onion, peeled, halved and thinly sliced

  10. 2/3 cup water

  11. 1 pound shallots

  12. 2/3 cup dried Turkish apricots

  13. 1/2 cup skinned whole almonds

  14. 2 tablespoons honey
