  1. 2 cups flour

  2. 2 tsp. baking powder

  3. 1/4 tsp. baking soda

  4. 1 /4 tsp. salt

  5. 1 tsp. sugar

  6. 2 Tbsp. butter , cut in small cubes

  7. 1 cup butter milk

  1. M ix flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt in a medium bowl. Cut butter in with a pastry blender. Mix with fingers to blend evenly.

  2. Stir in buttermilk with fork and mix until dough just comes together. Add a little extra buttermilk if needed.

  3. Turn dough out onto floured work surface and pat until about 1/2 inch thick. Cut out biscuits using a 2 -inch biscuit cutter.

  4. Place in a greased 9-inch cake pan.

  5. Bake at 4 50 degrees until gold enbrown , about 20 minutes .

  6. Makes about 1 0 bis c uits.
