  1. 1 md Cabbage, shredded

  2. 1 sm Onion, grated

  3. 1 md Green bell pepper, chopped

  4. 2 md Carrots, grated

  5. 3/4c Sugar

  6. 3/4c Vinegar

  7. 1/2c Vegetable oil

  8. 1 ts Celery seeds

  9. 1 ts Dry mustard

  10. 1 ts Salt

  11. 1/8ts Black pepper

  1. + Combine the cabbage, onion, green pepper and carrots in a large bowl and sprinkle with the sugar, set aside.

  2. Combine the vinegar, oil, celery seeds, dry mustard, salt and pepper in a pot and boil for three minutes.

  3. Pour over the cabbage mixture, stirring well.

  4. Cover, chill overnight.
