  3. 1 pound creamed cottage cheese

  4. 1 cup dairy sour cream

  5. 1/4 cup sugar

  6. 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

  7. 3/4 teaspoon salt -- optional

  8. 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  9. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  10. 2 cups green apples -- peeled and 1 cup dark raisins

  11. 1/2 pound medium-width egg noodles -- slightly

  12. -- undercooked

  1. (4 cups) 2 tablespoons Butter or margarine 1/2 cup Cornflake crumbs 1/4 cup Slivered almonds -- blanchedIn large bowl beat eggs with cottage cheese, sour cream, sugar, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and vanilla. Stir until well mixed. Stir in apples, raisins, and noodles until well mixed. Pour into buttered 12x8x2-inch baking dish. In small saucepan, melt butter.

  2. Stir in cornflake crumbs and almonds. Spoon over noodle mixture. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 40 minutes or until crumbs are golden.

  3. If desired, serve with sour cream and garnish with ground nutmeg.
