  1. 2 pound roast

  2. 6 each potatoes, halved

  3. 1 each onion soup mix, package

  4. 3 each onion, peeled, quartered

  5. 4 each carrots, cut into 2 inch lengths

  6. 1/2 cup water

  7. Put the vegetables on the bottom and the meat on top in a crockpot. Season meat with salt and pepper. Pour water over all. Simmer all of the above on Low all day. Variations: Add an envelope of onion soup mix or a small can of whole tomatoes.
