  1. 2 c Cooked basmati rice

  2. 2 c Milk

  3. 2 c Half-and-half

  4. 1/4 c Currants

  5. 1/2 c Honey

  6. 1 ts Vanilla extract

  7. 3/4 ts Cardamon

  8. 1/2 ts Cinnamon

  9. 1/2 ts Salt

  10. 5 tb Arrowroot or cornstarch

  1. In a medium saucepan, mix the arrowroot or cornstarch with the milk and stir until smooth.

  2. Mix in all the other ingredients.

  3. Stirring constantly, cook until moderately thickened (approximately 10 minutes).

  4. Remove from heat and cool, covered.

  5. Pudding will continue to thicken as it cools.

  6. Serve 4-5.
