  1. 1/2 loaf French bread

  2. 5 Tbsp. butter, softened

  3. 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

  4. 3 cloves garlic, crushed

  5. pinch salt and pepper

  1. Cut bread into 1/2" slices. In a small bowl, mix butter, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper. Spread the mixture evenly on the bread slices.

  2. Place bread slices in a toaster oven and toast until butter is bubbling and edges of bread are brown. You can also make this bread in the oven. Reassemble the bread slices to form the loaf and wrap in heavy duty foil, leaving foil open at the top. Place in 450 degree oven for 10-12 minutes until butter is melted and bread is crisp. Serves 8
