  2. 1/2 cup lentils

  3. 1/2 cup milk

  4. 1/2 cup water

  5. 1 teaspoon curry powder

  6. 1 small onion

  7. 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  8. 1 cup boiled rice Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Instructions Wash lentils and soak them in milk twelve hours. Melt vegetable shortening, slice onion and fry a pale brown, add curry powder, milk, water, seasonings, and lentils, simmer two hours and add lemon juice just before serving. Serve with rice.
