  1. For this pork chop recipe, let's make the dry rub first. Preheat a thick skillet over medium heat, and add cumin seeds, coriander seeds and black peppercorns. Stir and toast them for 7 minutes, until crispy and fragrant. Remove from heat, and allow the mixture to cool down. Transfer it in a mixer, and add sea salt and sugar. Grind for 2 - 3 minutes to make a fine rub for pork chops. In a platter, place the pork chops (after trimming the fat parts). Sprinkle dry rub over the pork chops on both sides, about ¼ teaspoon on each piece. Rub with fingers for even coating.

  2. Following meat preparation step, preheat a heavy frying pan. Adjust heat to medium high heat, and add 1 teaspoon olive oil. Carefully place a pork chop, making sure that the thickest part is in the center of the pan. Repeat the same for the remaining meat cuts. Cook them until browned (3 - 5 minutes based on thickness). Just before turning, lightly sprinkle salt. As you flip them, lower heat, and sear for the same time for the other side. Again sprinkle a dash of salt. Retain them in the pan for some time, and serve hot with baked green beans and a spicy dip sauce.

Pork Chop Baked with Onion Ingredients ¼ teaspoon paprika ¼ teaspoon thyme ¼ teaspoon sage ¼ teaspoon pepper ½ teaspoon salt 4 boneless pork loin chops 1 tablespoon oil 1 onion, sliced In a mixing bowl, combine together paprika, thyme, sage, pepper and salt. Stir well, and season pork chops on both sides. Heat a thick cast iron skillet, and pour oil. Sear pork cuts until golden brown, and remove in a platter. Lay a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil and place an onion slice and one pork chop on top of it. Again add onion slice above meat and seal the foil. Repeat these steps for the other three pork chops, and place pouches in a baking tray. Bake partly cooked pork chops in the oven at 425° F for 25 minutes to half an hour. You will get moist, flavorful pork chops that taste yummy.

Crock Pot Pork Chops Ingredients 2 tablespoons cooking oil ½ cup chopped onion 1 small clove garlic, minced ½ teaspoon chili powder 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce ¾ cup ketchup ½ cup water Salt and pepper to taste 8 pork chops, fats trimmed Preheat cooking oil in a frying pan, and sauté onion. Stir in garlic, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, water, salt and pepper. Cook this concoction until it reaches boiling temperature. Then, cover lid and simmer in low heat for about 10 minutes. See if the sauce thickens to your desired consistency. Following this, arrange pork chops in a slow cooker, and drizzle sauce over them. Cover lid and cook for 7 - 8 hours in low heat setting. This easy, crock pot pork chop recipe tastes great with plain rice.
