  1. 1/3 cup mayonnaise

  2. 3/4 tsp. seafood seasoning

  3. 168 g crab meat, picked through

  4. 2/3 cup saltine cracker crumbs, divided

  5. 1/4 cup minced green onions

  6. 1/4 cup minced red bell pepper

  7. 1 tbsp. vegetable oil

  1. Combine mayonnaise, seafood seasoning, crab meat, 1/3 cup saltine crumbs, green onions and bell pepper in a medium bowl. Stir gently until well combined. Form the crab mixture into four, 1/2 inch thick, cakes. Place the remaining 1/3 cup saltine crumbs in a pie plate. Coat the crab cakes with the saltine crumbs, pressing lightly to adhere. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the crab cakes to the skillet and fry about 6 minutes per side until browned and crisp. Drain crab cakes on paper towels and serve immediately.
