  1. 10 ounces chopped frozen spinach, thaw and drain -

  2. 8 ounces sour cream -

  3. 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise -

  4. 1 package of dry vegetable soup mix -

  5. 8 chopped water chestnuts, drained -

  6. 1/2 cup celery, chopped fine -

  7. 4 greeen onions, chopped fine -

  8. 2/3 cup bacon pieces, bits or crumbles -

  9. 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, divided -

  10. 1 teaspoon salt -

  11. 1 teaspoon black pepper fresh ground

  1. Thaw spinach and drain in sink. Combine the spinach, water chestnuts, celery, mayonnaise, soup mix, green onions, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix in bacon and shredded cheese, reserving 1 tablespooon of the cheese for garnishing dip just before serving. Place in a covered container and refrigerate for at least 2-4 hours before serving.
