  2. 5 cups apple cider

  3. 2 tbsp. sugar

  4. 10 allspice berries

  5. 8 whole cloves

  6. 2 cinnamon sticks

  7. 1 cup dark rum

  8. 1/2 cup butter

  1. Combine cider, sugar, allspice, cloves and cinnamon sticks in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar Reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat. Add the rum and butter. Stir until butter is melted. Divide between mugs and serve immediately.
