  2. 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour

  3. 2 cups dark brown sugar

  4. 1 cup creamy peanut butter

  5. 1/2 cup butter, room temperature

  6. 1 cup milk

  7. 3 large eggs, beaten to blend

  8. 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  9. 1 tsp. baking powder

  10. 1/2 tsp. baking soda

  11. 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease the bottom only of an 8x12 inch glass baking dish. Combine the flour, brown sugar, peanut butter and butter in a large bowl and stir until crumbly. Set aside 1 cup of the flour mixture. Add the milk, eggs, vanilla, baking powder and baking soda to the remaining mixture and mix until well combined. Spoon the batter into the prepared dish. Sprinkle the reserved flour mixture and the chocolate chips evenly over the top of the batter. Bake the cake about 45 to 50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Transfer the dish to a rack and let the cake cool a few minutes before cutting into squares and serving. Serve the cake warm or at room temperature.
