  1. 1 baked homeade pie crust FILLING:

  2. 2 cups milk

  3. 3 Tbs cornstarch

  4. 1/2 cup sugar

  5. 2 eggs

  6. 1/4 cup butter

  7. 300 g (10 oz) unsweetened chocolate, chopped

  8. 1 cup heavy cream TOPPING:

  9. 1 cup heavy cream

  10. 1 Tbs powdered sugar

  11. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  1. In top of a double boiler heat milk to boiling. In a mixing bowl, stir together cornstarch and sugar; beat in eggs. Gradually stir half the boiling milk into beaten eggs; return egg mixture to the double boiler, stirring well. Cook for 2 minutes. Stir in butter and chocolate until melted. Add 1 cup of the cream. Remove from heat. Pour filling into a baked pie crust . Chill in refrigerator for about 4 hours. TOPPING: In a mixing bowl, beat cream until stiff. Add powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and beat some more. Spread over chocolate cream pie.
