  5. 1 c Butter; (No Margarine)

  6. 1 ts Almond Or Lemon Extract

  7. 2/3 c Confectioners' Sugar

  8. 2 1/4 c Flour; Unbleached, Unsifted

  9. 1 ea Egg; Large

  10. 1/4 ts Salt

  11. 1 ea Egg Yolk; Large

  12. 1/2 ts Baking Powder

  13. Beat butter and sugar until light. Beat in egg, egg yolk and extract.

  14. Sift flour, salt, and baking powder; gradually add flour mixture to eggs.

  15. 1/2 hour. Press

  16. 1/4 of the dough into a cookie press. Keep

  17. remaining dough chilled. Shape cookies onto a greased baking sheet. Bake

  18. 400 degrees F. oven for 7 to 10 minutes or until done. Cool on wire

  19. racks and store in airtight tins.

  20. 4 to 6 dozen cookies. --
