  7. 3/4 c Hot water

  8. 1/2 c Molasses

  9. 1/4 c Milk

  10. 2 c Whole wheat flour

  11. 1 c All-purpose flour

  12. 3/4 c Sugar

  13. 3 tb Baking powder

  14. 1 t Baking soda

  15. 1 t Salt

  16. 1 1/2 c Chopped dry roasted pecans

  17. In a medium-size bowl combine the hot water and molasses, stirring until well blended. Stir in the

  18. milk until blended. In a large bowl sift together

  19. the flours, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

  20. With a rubber spatula, fold the liquid mixture and the pecans into the dry ingredients just until flour

  21. is thoroughly incorporated; do not over mix. Spoon

  22. 12 greased muffin cups. Bake at

  23. 300F until done,

  24. 45 minutes to about 1 hour. Remove from pan
