--CRUST:--

1 1/2 c. flour

1 1/2 tsp. sugar

1 tsp. salt

1/2 c. salad oil

2 tbsp. cold milk

--FILLING:--

4 c. sliced apple

2 tbsp. flour

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

--TOPPING:--

1/2 c. flour

1/2 c. butter or margarine

1/2 c. sugar

No rolling of the crust - baked in a paper bag. Combine flour,

sugar, salt, oil, and milk. Mix until well blended. Pat mixture in

bottom and sides of a nine-inch pan. Do not roll out. Combine

sugar and spices. Toss lightly with sliced apples and pour into unbaked pie shell. Combine flour, margarine and sugar and mix

hours. NO peeking! Slit sack open with sharp knife. Cool pie on
