  2. 1 tablespoon sugar

  3. 1 (2-pound) wedge chilled watermelon

  4. 1 tablespoon chopped mint

  5. 1 pint lemon sorbetto (sorbet) or Italian ice

  6. Equipment: a 1-inch melon-ball cutter

  7. Garnish: mint sprigs

  1. Stir together anisette and sugar in a large bowl. Using melon-ball cutter, scoop watermelon balls into bowl. Add mint and toss.

  2. Serve sorbetto with watermelon mixture.
