  1. Directions : Trim fat from brisket; and cut in half. In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, paprika and cumin. Evenly rub the mixed spices. Place onions in slow cooker. Place brisket halves over onions. In a small bowl, combine flour, brown sugar and garlic and gradually add beer and chili sauce, stirring until well blended. Pour over brisket. Cover with lid and cook on high setting for 1 hour then reduce to low setting and cook 6-8 hours our until tender.
