  1. 1 1/2 cups 355ml Heavy cream

  2. 1 1/2 cups 355ml Milk

  3. 1/4 cup 49g / 1.7oz Sugar

  4. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Salt

  5. 6 oz 170g Bittersweet chocolate - chopped

  6. 3 Peppermint oil

  7. Sweetened whipped cream - for garnish

  8. Chocolate shavings - for garnish

  1. In a saucepan, combine the cream, milk, sugar, and salt and heat over medium-low heat. When the cream mixture just begins to steam, add the chopped chocolate, and stir, until melted. Stir in the peppermint oil. Divide the hot chocolate among mugs and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

  2. This recipe yields about 4 servings.
