  1. 2 lbs. ground beef

  2. 2 tsps. salt

  3. 1/2 tsp. pepper

  4. 2 tsps. Angostura

  5. 1/2 cup ice water Sauce:

  6. 1 8-oz. can tomato sauce

  7. 1/4 cup water

  8. 1 tsp. Angostura

  9. 1 Tbs. minced onion

  10. 2 Tbs. minced green pepper

  11. 2 Tbs. minced celery Makes

  12. 8 patties

  1. Method : Combine meat with salt and pepper. Mix Angostura with ice water and pour over meat. Blend thoroughly and shape into 8 patties. Broil or pan-fry hamburgers quickly to desired degree of doneness. Serve hot with sauce.
