  1. 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

  2. 3/4 cup butter, softened

  3. 1 cup granulated sugar

  4. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  5. 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

  6. 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  7. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  8. 1 cup finely chopped pecans

  9. Powdered sugar for sprinkling

  1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, granulated sugar, vanilla and almond extract with an electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Stir in flour and baking soda; mix well. Stir in pecan, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  3. Shape 1-inch balls of dough into crescent shapes and place, 2-inches apart, on baking sheets. Flatten slightly.

  4. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly on wire racks. Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar; cool completely. Store in airtight container.
