  1. 1 3/4 c All-purpose* flour

  2. 1 ts Vinegar

  3. 1/3 c Vegetable oil

  4. 1 c Water

  5. 1 ts Ground allspice

  6. 1/2 c Raisins

  7. 3/4 c Quick-cooking oats

  8. 1/2 ts Salt

  9. 1 ts Baking soda

  10. Granulated sugar

  11. 1 c Packed brown sugar or 2 tb Dark molasses

  1. *do not use self-rising flour In this recipe.

  2. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

  3. Mix flour, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, oats, raisins and allspice with fork in ungreased square pan, 8 X 8 X 2 inches.

  4. Stir in remaining ingredients.

  5. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

  6. Cool on wire rack.

  7. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.

  8. SERVINGS; 305 CALORIES PER SERVING.

  9. To Microwave: Mix batter in ungreased round microwavable dish, 8 X 1-1/2 inches.

  10. Elevate dish on inverted microwavable pie plate in microwave oven.

  11. Microwave uncovered on medium (50%) 15 to 17 minutes, rotating dish 1/4 turn every 5 minutes, until top springs back when touched lightly.
