  1. 8 slices Bread; crusts trimmed off

  2. Chopped ham

  3. 4 slices Cheddar cheese

  4. 1 Egg

  5. Salt and pepper to taste

  6. 2 cups Milk

  1. Butter bread on both sides. Make 4 sandwiches, using chopped ham and a slice of cheese in each one. Mix egg, salt and pepper. Add milk. Fit sandwiches into 8-inch square pan; pour milk and egg mixture over sandwiches. Let soak for 2 hours, then turn each sandwich with spatula and let stand 1-½ hours more. Bake at 400 for 45 minutes.
