  5. 2 c All-purpose flour

  6. 1 ts Salt

  7. 1 ts Baking powder

  8. 1/3 c Sugar (white)

  9. 1 ts Baking soda

  10. 2 c Ground quick cooking -

  11. Rolled oats

  12. 1/2 c Molasses

  13. 2 tb Melted shortening

  14. 2 c Sour milk

  15. 1 c Raisins

  16. Sift the first five ingredients together. Add the

  17. oats, molasses, melted shortening and milk. Mix

  18. thoroughly and add the raisins. Pour into a large

  19. greased loaf pan. Let it set for 20 minutes then bake

  20. 1 hour at

  21. 350F. Note: The rolled oats may be

  22. ground with a rolling pin or in the meat grinder.
