    1. 1/2 c. butter

    2. 1 1/3 c. brown sugar

    3. 1 tsp. cloves

    4. 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

    5. 1 tsp. cinnamon

    6. 1 egg, unbeaten

    7. 2 c. flour

    8. 1 tsp. soda

    9. 1 c. chopped raw apple

    10. 1 c. chopped nuts

    11. 1/4 c. milk

    12. 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar

    13. 1 1/2 tbsp. butter

    14. 1/4 tsp. vanilla

    15. 1/8 tsp. salt

    16. 2 1/2 tbsp. milk

    1. Put first 6 ingredients together and beat until smooth. Sift flour with soda. Add to first mixture and blend. Stir in fruit, nuts and milk. Mix together ingredients for vanilla glaze. While hot, spread with vanilla glaze.
