  1. 1/2 cup butter, or margarine, softened

  2. 1/3 cup sugar

  3. 1/2 cup cornmeal

  4. 1/2 cup flour

  5. 1/2 cup almonds, chopped

  6. 1/2 cup peanut butter

  7. 1/4 cup chocolate chips, semi-sweet

  8. 1 teaspoon shortening

  9. 375 degrees. Beat margarine and sugar until fluffy. Stir in cornmeal and flour. Add almonds. Press evenly onto bottom of an ungreased

  10. 9x9-inch baking pan. Bake

  11. 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges are light golden brown. Cool about 10 minutes; spread with peanut butter. Melt chocolate chips and shortening over low heat, or in microwave. Drizzle over peanut butter. Cut into bars. Makes
