    1. INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS:

    2. 1 c. shortening (Crisco)

    3. 1 c. sugar

    4. 1 1/2 c. canned pumpkin

    5. 1 egg

    6. 2 c. flour

    7. 1 tsp. soda

    8. 2 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

    9. 1 1/2 tsp. salt

    10. 1 c. raisins

    11. 1 c. chopped nuts

    12. 1 c. butterscotch bits

    13. Cream shortening, sugar, pumpkin, and egg until creamy. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture; will be soft and smooth. Stir in raisins, nuts, and butterscotch bits.

    14. 375 degrees

    15. 10-12 minutes.

    16. FROSTING:

    17. 3 tbsp. butter

    18. 4 tsp. milk

    19. 1/2 c. dark brown sugar

    20. Cook above ingredients until sugar dissolves then add: 1 tsp. vanilla

    21. Beat until creamy with beaters and spoon a little on warm cookies.
