  1. 6 tablespoon(s) unsalted butter

  2. 6 ounce(s) bittersweet chocolate

  3. 3/4 cup(s) sugar

  4. 2 large eggs

  5. 1 tablespoon(s) vanilla

  6. 1/2 teaspoon(s) instant espresso powder

  7. 1 tablespoon(s) hot water

  8. 1/3 cup(s) flour

  9. 2 tablespoon(s) unsweetened cocoa powder

  10. 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt

  11. 3/4 cup(s) coarsely chopped walnuts

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with nonstick foil.

  2. In a large glass mixing bowl, melt butter and chocolate in a microwave oven on high 1 to 1 1/2 minutes; whisk until smooth.

  3. Whisk in sugar, eggs, vanilla, and espresso powder dissolved in hot water.

  4. In a small bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir into chocolate mixture until combined. Fold in walnuts. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 28 to 30 minutes, or until a pick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely in pan.

  5. Lift brownie from pan by foil ends to a cutting board. Cut into 12 brownies.
