  1. 2 oz 56g Shredded part-skim - mozzarella cheese

  2. 1/2 Granny smith apple - unpeeled (small)

  3. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Ground cinnamon

  4. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Ground nutmeg

  5. 2 teaspoons 10ml Reduced-calorie margarine

  6. Whole wheat bread - 1

  1. Combine cheese, apple and spices in a small bowl and mix well, tossing to distribute spices evenly.

  2. Spread 1/2 tsp of margarine on one side of each slice of the bread. Divide apple mixture onto dry sides of 2 slices of bread.

  3. Top with remaining bread, making sure the buttered sides of the bread are facing out.

  4. Preheat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat and place sandwiches on griddle/pan and press top slices of bread down firmly with spatula. Cook until well toasted on both sides, turning several times during cooking.
