  5. --DOUGH INGREDIENTS--

  6. 1 3/4 lb Flour (unbleached)

  7. 6 Egg yolks

  8. 1/2 lb Butter (sweet)

  9. 1/2 lb Sugar

  10. 2 pk Dry yeast or 1/4 lb fresh

  11. -yeast

  12. 1 c Milk, warm temperature

  13. --FILLING INGREDIENTS--

  14. 3 cn Poppyseed filling

  15. 3 Egg yolks

  16. 2 oz Almond slivers

  17. 4 oz Raisens

  18. 4 oz Walnuts

  19. 1 T Honey

  20. 1 T of sugar in the warm milk, add

  21. 1 T of flour.

  22. 10 minutes in a warm place

  25. Lift the dough from the bowl and knead on a floured board until blisters

  33. Di Note: I worked with Raisa when I was with CBS. She had come over

  34. from Russia and she and I would chat on the phone (she lived in

  35. New York). One day, I described this strudel thing and asked her

  36. if she knew what it was and she sent me her recipe. Very good.
