  2. 6 pounds apples

  3. 3 pints water

  4. Lump sugar

  1. Peel, core, cut up apples and bake in a stew jar with three pints of water.

  2. When a pulp, turn into a jelly bag and hang over a pan all night for juice to run through.

  3. For every pint of juice, add one pound lump sugar and boil one hour; when properly done, it will be stiff.

  4. Put into air-tight jars.
