  1. 1/4 lb 113g / 4oz Tamarind pulp

  2. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  3. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Red chile powder

  4. 2 teaspoons 10ml Sugar

  5. 1/2 cup 118ml Water

  1. Soak Tamarind in hot water for about one hour. Drain the tamarind and grind it in a mortar and pestil.

  2. If its already ground, then just mash it and mix other ingredients.
