  5. MMMMM--DOUGH--

  6. 2 c Flour

  7. 1 t Salt

  8. 2/3 c Shortening

  9. 8 T Cold water

  10. MMMMM--FILLING--

  11. 3 c Raisins

  12. 1 c Nuts

  13. 1/4 c Citron

  14. 1/4 c Honey

  15. 1 t Vanilla

  16. 1 t Cinnamon

  17. 3 T Grape jelly

  18. 1 Egg, beaten

  19. Dough:

  20. Mix flour and salt, cut in shortening, add egg and water to form

  21. pastry dough. Shape into a ball and let rest, covered.

  22. Raisin Filling:

  23. Chop or grind raisins, nuts and citron. Add honey, vanilla, and cinnamon. Mix well, then add enough jelly to moisten. Roll dough

  24. 4 circles. Place

  25. 1 T filling on each circle. Fold to

  26. form half circle, seal edges. Make 3 slits on top, brush with beaten

  27. 450 degrees for 18-20 minutes.
