  1. 2 pounds Italian sausage, bulk

  2. 6 good sized hamburger or hoagie buns

  3. 6 slices smoked provolone cheese

  4. 1/4 to 1/3 cup sun dried tomato spread*

  5. 1 large sweet onion

  6. 1 large bell pepper garlic pepper to taste

  7. 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoons crushed red pepper seeds

  8. 1 - 2 tablespoons olive *You can use store bought or try my recipe ;

  1. Portion the sausage into 6 patties, shaping according to the buns you've purchased. Cook patties in a preheated pan on the stove or place patties on hot grill ~ cook all the way through. While sausage is cooking, slice the onions & peppers and saute them along with the red pepper seeds & garlic pepper in the olive oil until they are done to your liking. Spread the sundried tomato spread on each bun. Just before the sausages are cooked through grill, place a slice of cheese on each one. Let the cheese melt, being careful of flare ups. Place the patties on the buns, top with the sauteed onions & peppers ~ enjoy :)
