  1. 2 cups port wine

  2. 1/3-1/2 cup sugar

  3. 1 cinnamon stick

  4. 1 whole nutmeg

  5. 12 medium plums

  1. Combine wine, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a medium saucepan. Heat to boiling.

  2. Add plums, and reduce heat to low.

  3. Gently simmer plums, covered, 10-15 minutes until tender. Remove to serving dish.

  4. Bring poaching liquid to a boil over high heat. Boil gently for 12-15 minutes or until slightly thickened.

  5. Serve over plums. ?
