  6. 2 1/4 c All purpose flour

  7. 1/2 c Unsweetened cocoa powder

  8. 1/2 ts Baking soda

  9. 1/4 ts Salt

  10. 1 c Dark brown sugar; packed

  11. 3/4 c White sugar

  12. 1 c Salted butter; soft

  13. 3 lg Eggs

  14. 2 ts Pure vanilla extract

  15. 5 1/4 oz Semisweet chocolate bar;

  16. 5 1/4 oz White chocolate bar;

  17. -coarsely chopped

  18. Preheat oven to 300 degrees (yes, it says 300) In a

  19. medium bowl combine flour, cocoa, soda and salt. Mix

  20. well with a wire whisk. Set aside. Blend sugars in a

  21. large bowl using an electric mixer set at medium

  22. speed. Add butter and mix to form a grainy paste,

  23. scraping down the sides of the bowl. Add eggs and vanilla, and beat at medium speed until smooth. Add

  24. the flour mixture and chocolates, and blend at low

  25. speed until just combined. Do not overmix. Drop by

  26. rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets, 2

  27. inches apart. Bake 23-25 minutes. Transfer cookies

  28. immediately to a cool flat surface. Yield: 3 dozen.

  29. *NOTE: I just made her oatmeal cookies, also 300

  30. degrees for 23-25 min., and found that I had to leave them in

  31. a little longer. --
