  1. 3/4 cup butter, melted

  2. 1-2/3 cups sugar

  3. 2 tablespoons strong brewed coffee

  4. 2 eggs

  5. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  6. 1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour

  7. 3/4 cup baking cocoa

  8. 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

  9. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  10. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  11. 1 cup chopped walnuts Confectioners' sugar

  1. In a large bowl, beat the butter, sugar and coffee until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, cinnamon, baking powder and salt; gradually add to the sugar mixture. Stir in walnuts. Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean (do not overbake). Cool on a wire rack. Dust with confectioners' sugar. Yield: 2 dozen.
